What Helps Me When Life Feels Full

Life has felt pretty full lately.

A lot is going on.
And a lot of thoughts that come up this time of year.

It’s not always easy to deal with the thoughts that try to pull you down.

When that starts happening, I know it is a sign that I need to slow down for a minute and get clear again.

One of my favorite books is Mastery by Robert Greene.
It’s one I revisit at least once a year.

One of the reasons I keep coming back to it is because it reminds me that mastery is not about doing everything or being everywhere.

A lot of it comes back to focus.

Greene talks about moving toward resistance and pain, and about playing to your strengths with what he calls “supreme focus.”

That always hits me.

When life feels full, my natural reaction is usually not the best.
I either want to overdo everything or avoid it altogether.

What helps me more is slowing down, being honest, and coming back to what actually matters.

What’s the ONE thing that matters right now?

Anyway, that has been a good reminder for me lately, so I figured I’d share it.
